title: "Chronicles" description: "Historical public milestones and project snapshots preserved from external writing." status: Historical Index series: Chronicles project: crushr
Chronicles¶
The Chronicles are a historical record of crushr’s evolution.
These are not formal specifications, and they are not canonical documentation.
They are snapshots of:
- what was being explored
- what decisions were made
- how the system changed over time
- and why certain directions were taken
Most entries originated as public writing and have been preserved here as part of the project’s development trail.
What this section is¶
- A timeline of major milestones
- A record of design thinking in motion
- Context for how the current system came to be
What this section is not¶
- A source of truth for current behavior
- A replacement for documentation or architecture specs
- A guarantee that ideas here are still valid
For current behavior and guarantees, see the formal docs and project control documents.
Reading guide¶
- Start with the most recent entries and work backwards
- Treat each entry as a point-in-time perspective
- Expect ideas to evolve or be replaced

Why this exists¶
Most projects only show their final state.
crushr keeps the path.
Because how a system evolves is often more informative than where it ends up.
